How it started

A curriculum built from real gaps

Moltrensok started because design education had a consistent problem: courses either stayed too abstract or jumped straight into software tools without explaining the reasoning behind decisions. Neither approach gave students a durable foundation.

The platform was built around a different premise — that understanding why a grid works, why contrast creates hierarchy, and why proximity affects perception is more transferable than any single tool workflow. Software versions change. Principles do not.

Every course on Moltrensok is structured around observable design decisions rather than subjective taste. Students analyse real projects, identify specific choices, and practice applying the same logic to their own work. Progress is measurable because the criteria are explicit.

Structured curriculum

Each course maps concepts in deliberate sequence — no assumed prior knowledge, no unexplained jumps.

Observable criteria

Feedback references specific visual decisions — spacing, weight, alignment — not general impressions.

Practice-centred

Assignments are drawn from realistic briefs — not toy exercises, but constrained problems with clear parameters.

Globally accessible

All materials are available asynchronously, with no fixed schedule requirements or regional restrictions.

The people behind it

Educators who practise what they teach

Each instructor on Moltrensok has worked in design professionally — not as a side activity, but as a primary occupation. Their courses reflect what they encountered in actual projects.

Darya Kovalenko, Lead Design Instructor at Moltrensok

Lead Design Instructor

Darya Kovalenko

Darya spent eight years working on editorial and brand identity projects before joining Moltrensok. Her courses on typographic hierarchy and grid systems are built from briefs she encountered in client work.

Iryna Savchuk, Visual Systems Educator at Moltrensok

Visual Systems Educator

Iryna Savchuk

Iryna focuses on colour theory and visual systems. She approaches each topic by showing students what happens when a principle is violated — the contrast between correct and incorrect use makes the logic concrete.

UX Principles Instructor

Bohdan Marchuk

Bohdan covers the intersection of visual design and usability. His modules on perception, affordance, and layout decision-making draw directly from interface projects he completed across product and service contexts.
